End of transfer!

Wow Familia! This week was super super full and busy this week, but that was good!

So.... I wanted to tell a little bit more about my week last week since my last letter was kind of... stinky.. hahaha., And this week, I brought my list! Haha

LAST WEEK!
Monday:; we played piano in the stake center during P-day... It was really fun and Elder Toth (my old zone leader who came back to this zone here) played a bunch of fun songs and we sang! It was awesome!

Tuesday: We had a work visit with the Sister Training Leaders!

Wedesday: We took a lot of people to family history! Yay family history! Haha

Thursday: We had a multi.zona special training with President. IT was really really good. We talked about having power when we teach. It was awesome. and then that evening, I GOT MY PACKAGE!!! Again.... IT was AWESOME mom! The best! And I loved that you and Linnie both wrote on the bag. So sweet!

The weekend was good! We gave the talks Sunday. I talked about how we can be a light to those around us. I did a little "english lesson" and taught them all how to say the word "Luz" in english "LIGHT". Then I used everyone of the letters of the word light as a way we could be a light to others (Libro de Mormon-- study it daily. I-Integridad-- Be worthy and have integrity. G-Gratitud-- have gratitude in your heart and it will show to others. H-- Hogar or Home in english-- your home can be a place where light radiates. T- Talentos-- develop your talents and help others to develop theirs too!) I think it went well and the people seemed to like it!

THIS WEEK!
Monday: We went to Chili´s for P-day and then went and played a little bit of sports at the stake center

Tuesday: We taught lots of lessons, but one specifically was really difficult. WE were teaching someone that we´ve taught a couple of times about the Book of Mormon, and her cousin decided to sit in. The lesson went really well... But in the end, her cousin came out with all of these HUGE doubts about the Book of Mormon. IT was a little rough, but we tried our best to talk to him about how it´s NECESSARY that he prays to know. WE will see how it goes!

Wednesday: Lots of work!

Thurdsday: We deep cleaned our little apartment! we defrosted the fridge and everything! Hahasha. Then, we worked! (Sorry there´s not more details, but we work hard ervery day and somedays there´s nothing specific I want to mention)

Friday: We had a really hard lesson with on of our investigators. Her mom is NOT willing to accept the fact or thought of Prophets. IT was very interesting. We talked to her a lot about the possibility and she wouldn´t even accept it.. She even had a hard time accepting prophets from the Bible like Moses! Wow. Lot´s of doubts here, but a great opportunity to teach... And to LEARN!

Saturday: We went to the women´s conference! It was sweet! I loved how the theme was all about service!

Sunday; The day was normal, but that night, we received the news that Hermana Nuñez has changes tomorrow! She is going to Independencia and I am receiving an Hermana named HErmana Hernandez! She has about 2 changes more than me, but we are going to be co-companions! I am suprised (I thought I was going to be training) But excited for what lies ahead. I will really miss Hermana Nuñez. We had some tough times, but more GREAT times than tough ones. I know the Lord knows me and knows what I need!

Welp, Familia... March has flown by and we´re on to April! We have to people with Baptismal Dates (Their called fechas here) Cinthya and her little brother Alex! Their brother Marco is on a mission in Ecuador and they love asking us stuff about mission life because they don´t really know what he´s doing over there! We love them and are looking forward to their baptism in a week!

I hope all is well with you guys! I miss you like crazy and pray for you everyday! I hope that as the end of the school year is finishing up, you´re looking forward to the things ahead, but enjoying the moment too. That´s what I´m trying to do here. I love you guys. SOOO MUCH!
Have a FANTASTIC WEEK! HUGS AND KISSES FROM PERÚ!!!!

Busy Week means Happy Missionaries!

This week was VERY BUSY!! But... really good too!!!

Monday; For P-day, we had a volleyball tournament, which was really fun!

Tuesday: Ok... nothing too busy this day.. hahaha.

Wednesday: We had a noche de hogar with our ward for the ward conference that happened this sunday! IT went really well and we talked about the Dia de Reposo, or Sabbath Day. I also practiced the piano with the primary for a special number they were going to do. Busy busy night!

Thursday: we had a special conference with LYNN G. ROBBINS of the 70! We traveled to the Lima East mission and got to have a conferece with him! IT was so awesome! So cool! Almost exactly a year ago, Elder Robbins and Elder Bednar both came to our home stake for a special stake conference, and now I´m here a year later in Perú and I have gotten to hear them again as a missionary. IT was so awesome!
Friday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a busy day with lots of lesson, but we took some time to celebrate your birthday with pollo a la brasa that night! Yum! I hope it was a great one! I love you so much!!!!

Saturday: We went to eat lunch at a members house, and she cooked us.... CEVICHE.... crap... (we aren´t allowed to eat it because apparently a ton of missionaries got sick before, so now it´s just a rule)... we had to awkwardly tell her we couldn´t eat it... but then she told us it was of Poto (or squid, which IS cooked) so we got to eat it, and it was DELICIOUS! hahaha
That afternoon was Flor´s baptism!!!!!! She was seriosuly so prepared. When she came out of the water, she was SO SO Happy, she cried! IT was so sweet! She was really a blessing from Heavenly Father that we could meet her. She´s the best and totally ready to be a member of the true and living church in these last days! AHhh! So awesome!

Sunday: it was WARD CONFERENCE in Barrio (ward) Libertad! IT was very sweet and we celebrated the birhtday of our ward with cake and cremoladaas (it´s like shavd ice, but SO MUCH BETTER) It was a great week!

Lots of pictures this week! I hope that you guys are all doing great and know I love you and miss you and am always praying for you! I hope that this next week is awesome for you! I love you guys like crazy cakes!

Spanish word for the week: Sneeze= estornudar  hehehe

Hola!

Hola Familia!!!!

This week was a really tough week! Lots of challenges, but lots of good times too!
I miss you guys like crazy, but can you believe how fast the time is flying?? I can´t! Hahaha.

Monday: For P-day we went to Chili´s in Mega Plaza and then ate Pinkberry... Ahhh!! It was expensive, but worth it! It made me remember and miss Rockin´ Frog Yougurt! hahaha.

Tuesday: We had a lot of lessons fall through, which meant a lot of walking. However, we met a family who´s brother is on a mission in Ecuador. They were really curious about what exactly he´s doing in Ecuador, and so we talked to them and they seemed really excited and we have been teaching them and they seem really receptive.

Wednesday: We had a service project up in the area of the Elders from Habana. We scraped paint off of her house to prep it to be painted and she fed us Arroz con pollo... Yum!

Thursday; We had heard this rumor that there was a lady in the market who sells Frog Juice (where they take a live frog, whack it against the wall to kill it, chop off it´s head, and blend it whole with a bunch of other liquid stuff that´s supposed to be really good for your health) So we went in the morning with our Elders to go find this lady... But... apparently she doesn´t exist in our market... hahahah.... So we just brought breakfast and then went to a zone meeting, which was AWESOME! We got a training from our zone leader from presidente about not being afraid to "shake the earth" and cry repentance to the people. IT was really really good!

Friday: We had a Lamanita in the morning, which was good! The Hermanas Capacitadoras (SIster TRainng Leaders) are awesome and we love them!

Saturday:  We found out we might have to move! Our landlord is asking us for MORE money for our apartment, so now we´re on a house hunt!
That evening we went to go visit one of the ladies that we have been teaching recently. IT was sad because she told us she didn´t want to hear us anymore becuase she felt like she didn´t need the gospel... She is a member of another church and she felt like if she joined our church that she was treating religion like a game... So that was really rough...

Sunday: So here in Perú, people throw parties at night with lots of music and laughing and all that, and no one (like the policia) comes around at midnight to tell them that there are good people sleeping (like in the states) so all night there was a party, which made it really hard to get up in the morning. But we did! And we went to church and it was great. The people have such strong testimonies here that are so pure and so sweet! IT was a good day.

Welp, this is my week! It went by SO fast and we are teaching a lot a finding some new people, which is awesome! I love it here even though it is so burning hot and it´s only going to get hotter!! Hahashaha.

I love you guys.... Have a great week and ..... MOM!!!!! HAPPY BIRHTDAY THIS WEEK!!!!! I LOVE YOU LOTS AND HOPE THAT YOUR BIRHTDAY WILL BE GREAT!!! I´ll be celebrating from Perú!! LOVE YOU!!!

Love you guys!!

20 in Peru!

HOLA FAMILIA!!!!

This week was FANTASTIC!!! Not to mention... I TURNED 20 IN PERÚ!! Ahhh!! hahaha. The week itself, was normal... lots of work!

Monday; For P-day we played VOLLEYBALL and watched some movies! It was so fun!

Tuesday; We had a Zone conference, and that was good! They also served pulld pork sandwiches for lunch... yum! ;)
That evening/night we had a work visit with the Hermanas Capacitadores. I was in our area with Hermana Evans! It ws fun and we did a Noche de Hogar for our ward. We did an activity where they write something cool that happened yesterday, and then something cool that happened a week ago, a month ago, and then a year ago. Most people don´t remember, so we talked about how important it is to keep a journal! They loved it!

Wedesday; We  had a zone meeting in the morning and then that evening we switched companions back to our normal companions. Hehehe.
That night we decorated our planners, so that was fun!

Thursday: Was normal, lots of work and lots of walking!!

Now....My birthday was Friday and it was literally.... THE HOTTEST DAY WE HAVE HAD YET!! ahhhh... hahaha. But it was cool! We had lunch with our Ward Mission Leader, Max, and his son Pedro. It was delicious and we ate cake too!
We taught some lessons too and receieved lots of sweets!
That night we went to the Zafra Family´s house and they bought these yummu cookie things and we drank... of course... INCA KOLA! My favorite!
After that, Hermana Jeni took us to eat pizza!
Royer sent me a gift and it was the coolest thing ever!! Here in Perú, in 2010, the national bank decided to send out these special soles (the coin currency here) that had the riches and the prides of Perú... There are 26 in all and people have been serching their whole missions to collect them all, and ROYER GOT ME THE ALBUM FULL OF THEM!! Ahhhh! It´s so cool!

It was one of the most simple and beautiful birthdays that I have ever had. I loved walking in the hot streets of Perú, teaching the people, and really feeling the love of the people here in my area. I loved it and I am so grateful for the chance to be here in Perú for one birthday. To serve the Lord! IT was the best!

Saturday; In the morning, we went up one of the hills to meet with a reference we were given, but he wasn´t there. As we were getting ready to leave, we saw this lady with a baby and a huge bag of stuff walking up all these steps... So I offered to help her!
As we were coming down the stairs from helping her, we saw this little old lady with a GIGANTIC bag full of stuff. So I offered to help her and carried her bag up to her house! Woooh.... what a workout! Hahaha. The people here have gotta be so strong because that was tough work! Hahaha. But it was fun and she gave us some juice after. Hahaha.

Sunday: Hermano Miguel came from CANTO REY to visit me! It was awesome! He came to our sacrament meeting and brought a little gift from Hermana Cielo! It was very sweet!

Overall, This week was really good! Lots of work, but I LOVE IT!
I hope all is well with you guys! I love you so!
